Genuine bone nuts in black?

Thats right, black bone nuts.

Bone nuts come standard on most of my builds. On this Spalted Artist build I thought that a white bone nut would disrupt the visual flow between the black ebony fretboard and headstock so we dyed it black.   The picture to the left is what a polished white bone nut looks like after its been soaked in black dye. The whole process takes a few weeks for the dye to soak in sufficiently.   The nut is cut, shaped and pre-slotted before we dye it.  After the weeks long dying process we install the nut and finish cutting the nut slots to their final depth.  Once setup is complete the nut gets polished to a high sheen and reinstalled on the guitar.

Thanks for looking.
