Fretboards for the next batch.

Some fretboards for the next batch.

I’ve been making a few fingerboard blanks today and just finished cutting the fret slots. From left to right we have some rosewood which has a warm tone, a beautiful piece of semi-open grain cocobolo which also has warmer tone. The two on the left are East Indian black ebony. Ebony has a slightly brighter tone, a smooth tight grain structure and feels terrific under your fingers. To me Ebony is the Cadillac of fretboard material and is my personal favorite choice. Thanks for looking, Don’t forget to subscribe.
